But I see a deeper issue: we live in the data era, yet Vietnamese golf is still in the Stone Age when it comes to data collection. Let us break down that analysis. Tactically, without data from sensors and tour statistics, we cannot know where a golfer excels or struggles. Form-wise, we cannot look at rankings, cuts made, or consistency. Systemically, we cannot determine the level of a tournament or its significance to a player's development. It all becomes helpless due to a single 'N/A'. This reflects a reality: golf analysts in Vietnam work in a data-less environment. While the world has moved into AI-driven predictions, we are still searching for basic numbers. This shortage not only makes assessment hard but also suppresses the development of the entire ecosystem. I recall a study on spectator-free matches during the pandemic. We had to collect data from video and scoreboards, and those insights helped us understand teams and their reactions under pressure. But with golf, data collection is much more difficult.
